“Found in shallow ponds, streams, and lakes, the water lily grows in fresh, still water where there is no current. Its botanical name is Nymphaea, from the greek word for “nymph.” In Greek mythology water nymphs were beautiful, supernatural women who haunted the places where water lilies grow, and it is from this association that the water lily means feminine beauty. The flower has fascinated artists through the ages, most famously the Impressionist painter, Claude Monet (1840-1926).” Source

The best and most beautiful water lilies are found at a place in Bali’s Ubud. A stunning setting of a lily pond with a Palace in the background. Viewing It almost feels like a religious experience.
