Day 122: Mystic Seaport

“Mystic Seaport or Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea, in Mystic, Connecticut, is the largest maritime museum in the world. It is notable for its collection of sailing ships and boats, and for the re-creation of the crafts and fabric of an entire 19th-century seafaring village. It consists of more than 60 original historic buildings, most of them rare commercial structures moved to the 17-acre (0.069 km) site and meticulously restored.” (Source) To read more about Mystic Seaport click here.

  1. Finding this post was such a random and pleasant surprise! I was browsing around and though, “that looks familiar??!?!” I’m on the west coast now, but recall going here as a small child when my family lived briefly in CT. Thanks for the trip down memory lane πŸ™‚
