“On this day in 1776, the Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence, setting the 13 colonies on the road to freedom as a sovereign nation. This most American of holidays will be marked with typical festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues across the country.” (Source)

I’m with you Jackie. I would prefer to celebrate the 4th of July with flowers.

Oh okay – I see what you mean now. The market where I shop was selling them. I’m assuming the red and blue daisies were dyed. 🙂

Then it wasn’t depressed because it had dyed … (Sorry !)

It’s not so much as everything is colorful as everyone is very friendly. I had a great time at the parade but pooped out early cause there was no place to sit. Oh well it was still fun! 😀

I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the parade yesterday :-)! Shame there wasn’t any seating so that you might have stayed longer – maybe, you could put a letter to Santa??…. for one of those walking stick thingy’s that have a folding seat in time for next year’s parade 😉
